Quando ho letto lo script, mi sono detto “E’ veramente dura!” Allora gli ho detto:”Non so se capisco tutto…” e lui:”Non è grave”… Basta dirlo! E’ così che ho preso parte al progetto. Era incredibile e strano, è una di quelle cose che ho pensato all’inizio: lo script è così strano! E David mi ha solo detto, prima di cominciare a girar,e: “Ah, a proposito, sarai completamente nudo in una scena”. E io: “Oh…ok…”
David voleva che fosse esattamente come nello script e quindi l’ho imparato le prime due settimane, quando ero a Toronto, come una macchina! Ho imparato a memoria ogni riga del testo, lo conoscevo tutto!
Giravamo sempre più scene all’interno della Limousine, ci sono pochissime scene al di fuori, abbiamo fatto quasi tutto all’interno…è stato interessante, ma anche un po’ spaventoso.
All’inizio mi chiedevo “interesserà veramente alla gente?”…è buio, non si vede granché, come la scena della rivolta…ci sono circa 200 persone all’esterno e la telecamera non esce mai dalla vettura, non c’è niente da filmare dall’esterno.
Si può pensare che il mio personaggio sia morto e voglia vivere, ma quando la morta ha il sapore di qualcosa di nuovo, lui pensa solo che non c’è altra realtà che quella, ma poi lui evolve, non basta più…deve avere ancora altro.
E anche il caos…l’anarchia e il caos, quasi lo tocca, perché non ha alcun senso…perché tutto ha un senso per lui e quindi, tutto quello che vuole, è che niente abbia più un senso, ma tutto finisce per avere troppo senso ed è per questo che deve morire probabilmente.
