E’ passato un pò di tempo dall’uscita di The Summer House… qui Robert Pattinson Australia, che ringraziamo ^_^ ci offre tre minuti del filmato…e sono tre minuti molto… intensi…

La fine definitiva di un amore, o forse più propriamente la fine dell’ultima speranza, per Jane, una giovane ragazza inglese di preservare l’aspetto più romantico e infantile ( e asessuato) di un amore adolescenziale fatto di lettere con i cuoricini, che oramai non servono più nè a lei, nè a lui?

Sullo sfondo, l’evento dell’sbarco dell’uomo sulla luna, nel 69, foriero di speranze e di interrogativi. C’è una parte della luna che si vede, e una che non è visibile agli occhi di Jane. Esattamente come nella storia d’amore che sta vivendo lei stessa con Richard.  C’è’ una parte oscura, e misteriosa e probabilmente inaffidabile. O forse no, è semplicemente la nostra visuale che rende oscura e misteriosa una figura ,quella di Richard stesso, che è in realtà chiarissima?

Una giovane ragazza inglese, interpretata con stile e talento da una brava Tatulah Riley si rifugia in Francia da parenti (tra cui spicca la quasi irriconoscibile, Anna Calder Marshall, ma sempre magnifica nella sua espressività). Sulle sue tracce, l’ex fidanzato Richard, che l’ha lasciata, tradendola, e intende riconquistarla. O semplicemente sedurla?  In questo ruolo un giovanissimo, credibile,  bravo,e incredibilmente  molto sensuale Robert Pattinson, già lontano anni luce dal Cedric di Harry Potter,  nonostante le poche battute che ha a sua disposizione.

Certo è che il cortometraggio ha una buona e solida regia, una buona ricostruzione d’ambiente storico, e il finale nella sottile e voluta ambiguità interpretativa è molto piacevole.Vale la pena, nel complesso, anche con una conoscenza solamente scolastica del’inglese, dell’acquisto.

The Summer House: Our Review

One love. Its real end? Or more appropriately the end of a childish and romantic love into a more sensual and  possibly risky and ambiguous relationship between a young woman and a young man? Surely it is the end of a love made by letters and hearts on them. Neither she or he need them no more.

And in the back ground the moon landing in 1969, with hopes, questions and disillusions. The dark side of the moon is really dark and dangerous and misterious as appears to us, and  the same is for  Jane’s love story with her fiancèe , or it’s only a matter of how she (and us too) see the moon (or her fiancée)?

A young english girl, Jane, well portraited by Tatulah Riley has escaped to France to her relatives (with the wonderful, brilliant, and nearly irriconoscible Anna Calder Marshall). She is followed by Richard , (Robert Pattinson) her ex-fiancée, that had left her after having betrayed her. He wants her back. To love her or to simply have her?. In this role, with few lines and lots of ambiguous sensuality a young and  brilliant Rob Pattinson, so far away from the static role of Cedric (Harry Potter).

A good directing from Daisy Gili and a good characterization of time and places, with a general good acting. It worth to be purchased.

Has been reported yesterday by Hollywood News that Robert Pattinson’s 2008 short film, “The Summer House” dominated iTunes immediately following its recent release, topping movie sales charts in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, and Germany after a mere four hours. The July 13th iTunes release marked the first occasion on which the film had been distributed for mass consumption, having only been run on the festival circuit during the prior year.

Hollywood News ha pubblicato un articolo di commento all’incredibile interesse sull’uscita di the summer house, per cui alla sua uscita su I Tunes ha raggiunto la prima posizione in quattro paesi:, Stati Uniti, Canada, Irlanda, Germania.

Dopo una uscita così, il cortometraggio, in lingua inglese, è stato inserito in un dvd chiamato Love and Disrust che è venduto in Inghlterra e in Europa via Amazon UK

After this incredible result, Artbook TBC  decided to sell it  for uk and european market and now the Summer house is part of DVD which is a collection of small movies called Love and Disrust
