M: Robert, con Bel Ami avevi già cercato di emanciparti da Twilight. Ora sei (hai) in Cosmopolis. Non hai paura di stare per perdere un sacco di fan?
Rob: No, perché cerco sempre di prendere dei ruoli davvero interessanti che possano piacere anche ai miei fan . Per me, fare piccoli film interessanti è veramente una buona opzione per avere una carriera, dopo Twilight.

M: E che cosa resta di Twilight?

Rob: Ciò che resta è la rassicurazione che abbiamo creato una serie di film che verrà ricordata. Io non capisco perchè il personaggio di Edward sia diventato così popolare. La maggioranza dice: “E ‘semplicemente così sexy!”. Altri dicono: “E ‘il modo in cui ama Bella. Questo lo posso capire di più. Con il tempo i film diventavano sempre più romantici e perché c’erano tanti conflitti della storia e perché Bella e Edward hanno dovuto lottare per il loro amore.

M: Senti un sacco di pressione per avere successo ogni volta che entri in un nuovo ruolo?

Rob: Durante le riprese non sento alcun tipo di pressione, ma in realtà è davvero strano che tutti sappiano cosa che fai e dici – Devi stare attento a non fare del male a nessuno e non dire nulla di male.

M: Tu e Kristen Stewart non potete davvero sfuggire ai media … Qualcuno è sempre lì a parlare del vostro “rapporto” …

Rob: Come ho detto, è importante solo fare attenzione a quello che fai e dici quando sei di fronte agli occhi dell’opinione pubblica. Ora, se mi presento con una ragazza da qualche parte viene subito suggerito che usciamo insieme, idem se mi presentassi con un ragazzo da qualche parte…

M: Vuoi lavorare insieme (a Kristen) nel futuro?

Rob: . Kristen e io stiamo cercando di scrivere uno script in questo momento perché lei ha un istinto per le buone storie Anche io sono stato in giro per lanciare idee per alcuni film brevi che vorrei fare come regista. Ci vorrà un pò perchè questo accada , perché prima devo imparare da tutti i registi straordinari con cui riesco a lavorare .Ma mi interessa molto..

M: Cosa ti ha spinto a recitare in “Cosmopolis”

Rob: Ho pensato che l’ argomento era davvero interessante. mi sono rinchiuso nella mia stanza d’albergo per due settimane e ho imparato il testo. Non doveva essere cambiato perché era basato su un romanzo di Don DeLillo. Ho pensato che era veramente bello perché per me era come se stessi cantando una canzone davanti alla telecamera. Allo stesso tempo, a volte era come se stessimo girando un documentario, perché mentre stavamo girando la scena con le proteste, e il telegiornale della sera riferiva circa le proteste ( reali) del movimento Occupy Wall- Street-.

M: Robert, with Bel Ami you have already tried to emancipate yourself from Twilight. Now you have Cosmopolis. Aren’t you scared you’re gonna lose a lot of fans?
Rob: No because I always try to take really interesting parts that my fans could like as well. For me, doing small, interesting movies is a really great option to have a career after Twilight.

M: And what remains from Twilight?
Rob: What remains is the reassurance that we created a rememberable movie series. I don’t really understand how the character Edward got so popular. The majority says, “He’s just so sexy!”. Others say, “It’s the way he loves Bella. That one I can understand more. With time the movies got more and more romantic as well because there were so many conflicts in the story and because Bella and Edward had to fight for their love.

M: Do you feel a lot of pressure to be successful whenever you take on a new part?
Rob: While shooting I don’t feel any kind of pressure really but it’s really strange that everyone knows what you do and say. You really have to be careful not to hurt anyone and not to say anything wrong.

M: You and Kristen Stewart can never really escape the media… Everyone’s always takling about your “relationship”…
Rob: Like I said, it’s just important to pay attention to what you do and say when you’re in the public eye. Now if I show up with a girl somewhere it’s immediatly suggested we’re dating. Even when I show up with a guy somewhere.

M: Will you be working together in the future?
Rob: Kristen and I are trying to write a script right now because she has an instinct for good stories. Also I’ve been throwing around ideas for some short movies that I wanna do as a director sometime. It’s gonna be a while tho till I’m there because first I have to learn from all the amazing directors I get to work with. That interests me a lot.

M: What made you want to play in “Cosmopolis”?
Rob: I thought the topic was really interesting. I locked myself up in my hotel room for two weeks and learned the text. It shouldn’t be changed because it was based on a novel by Don DeLillo. I thought that was really nice because for me it felt like I was singing a song in front of the camera. At the same time, sometimes it felt like we were shooting a documentary because as we were shooting the scene with the protests, the evening news reported about the actual protests of the Occupy-Wall-Street-Movement.

E’ proprio cosi’ dolce Rob, i tuoi fans ti apprezzano per quello che sai trasmettere attraverso i tuoi film e le tue scelte e non ti hanno e mai ti legheranno ad un personaggio, anche se quell immagine ha dato loro la fortuna di poterti conoscere. Sei un gioiello di ragazzo ed una bella persona che ognuno di noi, nella propria vita, ha il desiderio di incontrare. Non cambiare mai sei perfetto cosi’ come sei. Ti lovviamo e saremo sempre al tuo fianco ad ‘urlarti’ , magari con un certo stile, il nostro appoggio ed il nostro incondizionato amore. 4everob!!!
