Summit: Breaking Dawn I goes toward the $ 710 million/Breaking Dawn vola verso i 710 milioni di dollari (e il record della serie)

Summit Ent e Lionsgate hanno annnunciato oggi che Breaking Dawn parte I ha superato i 700 milioni di dollari nel mondo come incassi (701.3 M) e che presto supererà i 709.8 milioni guadagnati dal titolo di Twilight con la migliore performamce finora che è New Moon . Il film è ancora nelle sale americane e deve aprire ancora nei mercati di Cina e Giappone. A differenza dei titoli precedenti l’incasso fuori dagli stati uniti ha contribuito maggiormmente per il successo della pellicola rispetto al mercato americano.
Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger di Summit hanno detto che questo risultato è” una pietra miliare” per la Summit e per la nuova compagnia e soprattutto che il dato dimostra “l’estrema vitalità di questa franchise dopo 4 anni e 4 film già usciti”.

Summit Entertainment and its new parent compnay Lionsgate announced Sunday that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn–Part 1 will soon overtake the $709.8 million earned by The Twilight Saga: New Moon to become the top grossing title in the franchise.

Through Sunday, Breaking Dawn has earned $701.3 million globally. It has yet to open in Japan and China.
Domestically, the pic has grossed $280.3 million, putting it behind threequel The Twilight Saga: Eclipse ($300.5 million) and sequel New Moon ($296.6 million).
Conversely, Breaking Dawn is already the franchise’s top earner overseas, where its running cume is $421 million. The previous best was the $413.2 million earned by New Moon.
Newly annointed Lionsgate motion picture group co-chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger–who run Summit–said the milestone is important on several fronts, and illustrates the “vitality of the franchise on a global sclae even after four films.”
