Last night’s 2010 MTV Video Music Awards show had a bit of Twilight Saga representation to speak of, thanks to an appearance by Ashley Greene, performances by soundtrack artists Florence + The Machine, Paramore, and Linkin Park, and professional wins by several of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s soundtrack artists.
For starters, Ashley Greene was a presenter for the evening, so she was on hand for the year’s “white carpet,” and you can check out photos of Greene and others in the slideshow below.
Hayley Williams, who was co-nominated in several categories for her work with B.o.B., was on stage to help perform the song “Airplanes” before joining her Paramore bandmates with “The Only Exception.” You can watch that video here. Florence + the Machine (who contributed “Heavy in Your Arms” to the Eclipse soundtrack) also performed live – and wow-ed the crowd – with the song “Dog Days are Over,” and you can check out that performance video here. Finally, Linkin Park (“Leave Out All the Rest” on the Twilight soundtrack) performed their song “The Catalyst” live, and you can check that out here.
Florence + the Machine received the award for “Best Art Direction” for the video to “Dog Days are Over,” while Muse won “Best Special Effects” for “Uprising,” and The Black Keys (who brought “Chop and Change” to the Eclipse OST) won “Best Breakthrough Video” for their song “Tighten Up.”
